Intern
The mission of RS&F’s intern program is to provide college interns a valuable, hands-on experience working with a full-service public accounting and consulting firm. The internship program provides practical experiences encompassing Tax and Assurance services that RS&F provides to external clients, while improving our intern’s interpersonal communication skills and application of accounting guidance learned through their academic curriculum.

Training & Support
Interns follow the same onboarding process as a regular full-time employee, including orientation with Human Resources and IT to review policies and procedures, and receive hands-on training on the various professional software programs required for the Tax and Assurance departments. The internship coordinators regularly meet to plan a work schedule that accommodates the academic schedule of each intern while providing active participation in and responsibility for specific entry-level workflow needs in our respective service departments. In addition to frequent supervisory interaction, interns will also have direct contact with other designated staff on specific engagements.

Work Hours
As a guideline, most interns work 20 hours per week. Work schedules are created by the internship coordinators and take into account the intern’s academic commitments and preferred work times.

Pay & Pay Periods
Interns are paid an hourly rate via direct deposit on a semi-monthly basis. Hours are submitted each week and reviewed by the internship coordinators.
