Summary Description
The mission of RS&F’s intern program is to provide college interns a valuable, hands-on experience working with a full-service public accounting and consulting firm. The internship program provides practical experiences encompassing Tax and Assurance services that RS&F provides to external clients, while improving our intern’s interpersonal communication skills and application of accounting guidance learned through their academic curriculum.

Responsibilities

    • Work assignments will vary based on departmental workflow and seasonal needs. A sample of possible assignments are as follows:
    • Assurance services: including but not limited to fieldwork, financial statement preparation, and confirmations
    • Client accounting services: including but not limited to QuickBooks reconciliations
    • Tax services: including but not limited to business tax returns (1065 & 1120’s), individual tax returns (1040s), 1099’s, corporate tax extensions, payroll tax filings, and personal property tax return filing

Requirements

    • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
    • Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week, year-round in our Towson office
    • Enjoys both collaboration and independent work 
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent communication skills
