Developed by a team of former Instagram and Apple engineers, Rylo’s breakthrough stabilization software and smartphone app eliminate the traditional pain points of shooting, editing, and sharing videos. With Rylo, you don’t have to worry about framing your shot or holding the camera steady to capture a video you’re proud to share — simply hit record and make the perfect video after-the-fact.
You’ll be joining us as our first dedicated full stack software engineer. You'll join our 6 person software engineering team. You love having ownership and influence over the projects you work on. You have experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines. You’ll report directly to our CEO and cofounder Alex Karpenko. You’ll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with our web, firmware, iOS, and Android teams.
In your first 90 days you'll:
- Take over all current and future full stack engineering projects
- Own our cloud services products
- Determine what tools, languages, and architecture we should use for current and future projects
What you'll do
- Most of your time you’ll be designing, implementing and collaborating on a video and image cloud service, which integrates with Web, Android, iOS and embedded clients
- Some of your time will be supporting the shop, APIs, websites, SEO, deployment infrastructure, build system, tests, and more
What we are looking for:
- You have at least 4 years of professional development experience.
- You have shipped products and are proud to tell us about them.
- You have experience with backend languages. We work with javascript and node.js. If you have experience with multiple backend languages like python or ruby we’d love to talk with you
- You have experience with databases such as SQL, MySQL, SQLite, or Postgres
- You have experience with cloud platforms. We work with AWS and S3. If you have experience with something similar such as Google Cloud, Azure we’d love to talk with you
- You have experience with front end tools like: HTML, CSS, Angular, React, & building responsive layouts
