We are strategically headquartered in Silicon Valley, with team members and office locations established in Perth, Australia, Tokyo, Japan and New Delhi, India that you would collaborate with on a regular basis.
As a Backend Developer at SafeAI, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our robotic fleet management system. You'll build and deploy solutions that seamlessly communicate with our autonomous fleet and support web functionalities. Engage with a dynamic global team, harness state-of-the-art technologies, and contribute to the exciting journey of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, build and deploy backend software capabilities for autonomy fleet management.
· Champion test-driven development with a focus on unit, integration, and functional testing.
· Ensure team and system scalability and performance.
· Collaborate with our international team, spread across the globe, on Product & Engineering projects using Agile methodologies.
· Uphold coding standards, conduct code reviews, and share best practices.
· Learn from and Mentor/guide fellow engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
Qualifications:
· 7+ years of hands-on experience in developing backend systems for high availability systems.
· Experience in contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
· Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
· Familiarity with TDD.
· Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.
· Understanding of mapping systems and experience with GIS systems is a plus.
· Strong advocate of SOLID principles.
· Strong grasp of modern web application architecture and design patterns.
· Expertise in building backend systems with Node.js is a must.
· Must know graphQL.
· Must have a deep understanding of at least one NoSQL db, one message broker/streaming tech.
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. (Although not a must)
