SafetyCulture Care, a division of SafetyCulture, is a dynamic and rapidly growing Managing General Agency (MGA) specializing in providing innovative insurance and risk management solutions to agency partners. With a strong focus on driving profitable business growth, we are seeking a motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our new team in the US. 

You will play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing relationships with agency partners. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will drive revenue growth and profitability by effectively promoting our insurance products and services to agency partners. This presents an exciting opportunity to be a foundational member of the team. This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious and eager to build out a team within our Agency Distribution Channel as we scale. 

What will I be doing?

    • Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and prioritize agency partners with growth potential.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners, including independent insurance agents and brokers, to drive profitable business growth.
    • Identify opportunities to expand product offerings and cross-sell additional insurance solutions to agency partners.
    • Collaborate with underwriting and pricing teams to ensure competitive and profitable pricing for agency partners.
    • Own the sales cycle from start to finish, working closely with underwriting to meet your Agency customer standards. 
    • Provide training and support to agency partners on products, processes, and technology platforms.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including premium growth, retention rates, and profitability, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
    • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and mitigate risks.
    • Represent SafetyCulture Care at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and expand our network of agency partners.

What do I need?

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on business development, sales, or related roles.
    • Understanding of the Agency Channel Segments and existing relationshipsProven track record of driving profitable business growth and achieving sales targets.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and exceeding expectations.
    • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
    • Willingness to travel within the designated territory as needed.
    • Tech savvy and a passion towards a better way of doing things for our AgentsBe a Team Player - you work effectively with cross-functional teams and can manage tasks and interests from many stakeholder groups

Nice to have

    • Relationships and or knowledge in the Hospitality Sector and/or Food & Beverage industry, (Manufacturing, Retail) and/or Franchise Models and Connections
    • Understanding and value of risk minded approach to insuranceHas built out a team before and created sales targets for self and others
    • Experience in a startup, or building something new without clear processes as we build
    • Working in an environment with yet to be defined processes (For you to solve!)
    • Reporting to the General Manager, you’re expected to help set overall company strategy, build an incredible working culture, and set an example to everyone of how to live up to our values
