What is the purpose of the role? 

The purpose of the role is to deliver projects and initiatives involving business processes, business change and technology solutions to support and drive the operational capability of SafetyCulture Care

What are the key accountabilities/responsibilities of the role?

    • Build relationships with key technology product and service providers
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements
    • Lead and undertake the formal requirements analysis of new systems and enhancements to existing systems
    • Work with managers of product, pricing, underwriting, risk solutions and technology functions to create and review user stories
    • Develop top level process flows and facilitate solution design for business systems
    • Understanding and capturing end-to-end workflows and defining business rules 
    • Process mapping
    • Develop test plans and test cases, execute tests and log issues, coordinating UAT activities
    • Contribute to the design and testing of new solutions
    • Coordinating project activities such as planning and set up or requirements workshops
    • Working with stakeholders to ensure internal team process documentation is updated as part of any release
    • Triage defects and bugs related to current platforms
    • Promote continuous improvement and innovation

What are the key relationships that are relevant to the role?

    • Management of SafetyCulture Care, particularly managers of product, pricing, underwriting, risk solutions and technology functions and their team members
    • Key contacts at technology vendors and relevant service providers


    • Appropriate tertiary qualifications
    • 3+ years’ experience as a business analyst
    • Sound understanding of UI / UX concepts
    • Agile development methodology
    • Process mapping concepts
    • Continuous improvement concepts


    • Experience working in a comparable business analyst role
    • Experience with business process design and notation tools such as BPMN or UML
    • Good working knowledge of relevant applications
    • Experience of working in a large IT department, ideally within a financial services environment
    • Experience with IT systems testing and UAT
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to handle multiple activities and priorities, while maintaining a sense of urgency to meet and exceed customer needs.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to gather and understand complex end user requirements
    • Ability to turn information into knowledge and recommendations that are actionable

    • Ability to manage relationships with business stakeholders
