Opportunity:
We are hiring a senior director-level consultant with an unwavering enthusiasm for impact to grow our impact investing consulting practice, with a particular focus on climateinitiatives,who will direct multiple projects simultaneously across a range of high-growth industries and client types.
You will contribute actively in both business development and internal initiatives. In other words, you will have an integral part in accelerating Sagana’s growth.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Business Development activities with DFI’s and Development Organizations for climate finance and climate investment consulting projects, including in adaptation & resilience, just transition, and mitigation.
- Bring new relationships and strengthen existing client relationships that generate new business for Sagana. Write proposals and pitch new projects to both existing and new clients.
- Proactively lead projects related to climate impact through investment. Including developing investment strategies, financial vehicles, and advisory solutions that drive climate impact in emerging markets and providing expertise in climate-related fund evaluation, capital structuring, and impact-driven investment approaches. You will also develop project scopes informed by the innovations seen on our investment side and deeply rooted in what’s realistic to implement over the coming years.
- Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery across multiple projects at once, by building and directing workplans, timelines and budgets, and coordinating with delivery teams.
Skills and Experience:
- Have at least 10years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years actively working in a well-established consulting firm. You know how to be a great consultant.
- Proven track record in business development with government clients.
- Experience developing and growing climate projects in emerging markets working with working with government institutions, DFIs and catalytic capital sources such as foundations and corporations.
- Experience leading project teams on topics related to climate finance and climate investment consulting projects, including in adaptation & resilience, just transition, and/or mitigation.
- Experience working with culturally diverse client and colleague teams is necessary! You are a global citizen who thrives working remotely and across time-zones.
- Proven project management skills in growing complex projects with multiple and diverse stakeholders. You think and work across sectors.
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial culture. You get things done, pay attention to details as well as strategy and dive deep into the work when necessary. You like to build new ventures and your commitment to quality is unwavering.
- Skilled communicator, both written and oral. Comprehensive presentation and facilitation skills. Fearless in delivering complex messages.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage.
