Senior Account Group Director
Job Summary:
As a key leader within a full-service marketing communications agency specializing in healthcare, the Senior Account Group Director will manage a portfolio of retained client accounts. This individual will be responsible for successfully driving client engagement—ensuring exceptional client satisfaction, fostering long-term account retention, and overseeing the growth of the account group.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Multiple Client Accounts: Manage and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across all customer touchpoints, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience.
• Client Retention and Growth: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, driving renewals, repeat engagements, and organic growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Strategic Advisor Role: Establish trusted advisory relationships with clients and their stakeholders, collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs and deliver strategic solutions.
• Content Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create thoughtful, authentic content calendars that align with client objectives and highlight leadership in their market.
• Content Creation Excellence: Lead the development of high-quality content, including market reports, white papers, op-eds, case studies, and blogs, with a strong focus on thought leadership and industry relevance.
• Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with Account Managers, creative, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver campaigns and content that are both innovative and strategically sound.
• Campaign Execution and Metrics: Partner with cross-functional teams to align campaign strategies with client goals, track key performance metrics, and ensure campaigns exceed expectations.
• Monitor Performance: Leverage data and analytics to track campaign success, providing clients with insights and actionable reports to optimize engagement and satisfaction.
• Lead Regular Account Meetings: Oversee weekly account status meetings, ensuring that campaigns stay on track and align with client objectives.
• Process Adherence and Optimization: Ensure campaigns follow established workflows and processes, while proactively recommending improvements to optimize performance.
• Client Success Focus: Ensure superior service delivery and operational excellence, positioning the agency’s work as highly referenceable within the healthcare space.
• Drive Continual Improvement: Provide leadership in identifying and implementing new processes to improve workflow efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience: 10+ years in account management, campaign planning, and marketing communications, ideally in a healthcare or health IT setting.
• Writing Proficiency: Exceptional writing skills, with demonstrated success in both short- and long-form content creation.
• Healthcare Expertise: Proven experience and understanding of healthcare markets, including providers, health plans, technology, economics, media, or policy.
• Campaign Planning: Advanced expertise in campaign development, planning, and execution.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external teams.
• Consultative Leadership: Adept at managing complex client relationships with a consultative, strategic approach to achieving business goals.
• Project Management: Experience managing multiple client deliverables across various projects, ensuring that timelines, scope, and tasks are met.
• Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated business acumen, with a focus on driving client growth and improving performance in a fast-paced environment.
