Additive Manufacturing Technician
 
·         Perform daily operations with the aim of producing developmental, qualification, and flight hardware in battery manufacturing.
·         Collaborate closely with process and product engineering teams to refine processes and enhance product designs.
·         Participate in configuring and operating our advanced battery manufacturing processes.
·         Support the production and quality inspection process under the guidance of engineers and managers.
·         Maintain equipment functionality, ensuring timely scheduling of maintenance activities as required.
·         Ablility to working in a cleanroom environment.
·         Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and uphold the cleanliness of the work area.
·         Discern the quality of components and materials utilized within the production process.
·         Effectively manage the inventory of parts and tools essential for the process.
·         Accurately complete daily reports and updates, documenting activities comprehensively.

Minimum Qualifications:
·         Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., Materials Science, Engineering, Manufacturing).
·         4+ years of hands-on experience working in an R&D or manufacturing environment.
·         Ability to follow established procedures and protocols with meticulous attention to detail.
·         Proficient in recording and documenting experimental data accurately.
·         Effective problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to troubleshooting efforts.
·         Excellent organizational and time management skills.
·         Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices in a laboratory setting.
·         Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
 
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
·         Powder handling, testing, and processing.
·         Battery manufacturing equipment operation.
·         Handling and testing of battery materials and components.
 
Physical Requirements
·         Ability to communicate in real-time with co-workers, and external contacts
·         Ability to navigate a lab environment, including manipulating and moving materials, lab equipment, and tool carts, while demonstrating good safety practices and common sense
·         Ability to do repetitive work for prolonged periods of time
·         Ability to take accurate measurements and readings while utilizing microscopes, , and other tools
·         No travel is anticipated for this role
 
Location
Sakuú’s culture is best experienced in person, and selected candidates will be expected to work onsite in our South San Jose location.  Remote work schedules are not available.
 
$30 - $35 an hour
The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $30 to $35/ hour. Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, Sakuú offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
