Small group health insurance is broken. Costs are rising out of control and employers struggle to afford quality benefits plans for employees. Sana is here to fix that. We have built a new kind of health plan from scratch that lets employers offer rich benefits while paying less. Sana uses proprietary technology tools to cut out waste and a novel financing structure that gives companies money back when claims are low, saving up to 20% on total costs.

We are looking for a charismatic and hard-working Sales Manager. This is an opportunity for a proven leader to build and scale a team of experienced Account Executives to drive incredible results. You will be responsible for building and coaching a team, enabling them to sell, and driving new business. In short, you’ll get to help build an operation from the ground up so the ideal candidate will have experience in a high-growth/start-up environment. You will report into Sana’s Head of Sales

What you will do

    • Drive the team of Account Executives to exceed revenue targets through new client acquisition and install base expansion
    • Interview, hire, develop, and lead the AE team with a consistent vision of the future
    • Build and develop a sales team that is successful in identifying, qualifying, developing and closing new business
    • Build a culture of continued success and goal achievement through talent management, feedback, mentoring and training
    • Thoroughly understand the ins and outs of the AE team pipeline and accurately forecast bookings
    • Conduct annual performance reviews of your direct reports
    • Understand what the data is telling you to diagnose problems within the pipeline and propose solutions on how to solve those problems. 
    • Collaborate with other teams including business development, customer success, marketing, product, and finance to ensure the long-term success of the AE team 
    • Consistently coach AE's to improve their sales skills over time
    • Proactively identify and launch initiatives to streamline our processes for organizational excellence

About you

    • 2+ years experience as full cycle sales rep AND 3+ years of AE leadership experience
    • Experience in a related field is a strong plus
    • Track-record of success managing a high performing inside sales team
    • Proficient in Salesforce and other sales tools
    • Strong understanding of managing pipelines
    • Enthusiastic and vibrant attitude
    • Expert communication and presentation skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
    • Analytical mindset comfortable generating reports and identifying trends in data
    • Entrepreneurial. Self-directed. Excited to build something from scratch
    • Values-oriented. You care about making our healthcare system work better for people and business owners
    • Comfortable with change. We are a startup and need people who are ok doing things outside of their traditional job description
