Sana is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our primary care health center in Austin. The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative services to support our value-based patient care model. To be successful in this role, you must be highly organized, a great communicator and passionate about patient-centered care.
What you will do
- Support patients with appointment scheduling, check-in and check-out procedures
- Prepare patients for provider visits by collecting patient vital signs & medical history
- Administer blood draws and perform routine specimen collection and tests
- Assist providers with medical treatments, procedures and exams
- Assist with referral processing and arrange laboratory services
- Prepare equipment & examination rooms, and clean instruments
- Support inventory management by ordering and stocking supplies
- Promote teamwork to support a healthy & happy work culture
- Participate in regular touch points regarding patient satisfaction & engagement
About you
- You have 2+ years working in clinical setting as a CMA
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Ability to make patients feel at ease
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Entrepreneurial. Self-directed. Excited to innovate.
- Passionate. You care about making our healthcare system work better for patients
- Grit. You aren’t worried about getting your hands dirty and working hard when you need to
