The SAR Alumni Manager is the school’s primary person thinking about communicating, connecting and adding value to our growing Alumni network. These alumni span across decades and represent two cohorts of individuals– those that graduated SAR Academy and those that graduated from SAR high school. There is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships by creating communications, events and learning opportunities that matter and are relevant to their lives. This person will be responsible for planning/coordinating all alumni events, facilitating a more robust alumni network (both digital and personal), and assisting in the planning of other development events that bring parents, alumni and others closer to SAR.

Responsibilities Include:
-Maintaining the alumni records of the school
-Keeping current on updates to addresses and emails
-Ensuring appropriate database relationships are in place for parents and siblings
-Commitment to utilizing the school’s CRM system
-Create and implement a strategic vision for alumni engagement, including but not limited to:
Develop, plan, and implement other alumni events (5-year, 10-year reunions, etc)
Regional in-person and virtual alumni events
Learning opportunities for alumni including Bogrim and the Graduate Fellowship Alumni Program of Machon Siach 
Engage with current students; particularly those close to graduating to begin to develop relationships with those students who will soon be alumni
Identify, recruit, and retain alumni volunteers 
Be actively involved with alumni association organizations that can help with new ideas for outreach and programming.
-Work with Development, Admissions and Communications departments on ways to represent Alumni at school-wide events
-Partner with the development office to foster a culture of giving among the Alumni community. 
-In consultation with Development colleagues, develop a strategy for annual Alumni and Alumni Parent appeals - Communications 
-Manage alumni social media accounts including Facebook and Twitter; establish and manage a LinkedIn group for Alumni 
-Regularly communicate with individual alumni on a personal, professional basis
-Create and send a semi-annual Alumni e-Newsletter 
-Own the alumni presence on the SAR website 
-Compile end of the year highlights for the Annual Report - Annual Campaign Support 
-Support in the planning and execution of events including those for new parents, prospective students, parents of alumni, and others

Qualified candidates should possess: 
-A bachelor’s degree 
-Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while maintaining focus, close attention to detail, and skill in prioritizing
-Superb interpersonal and relationship-building skills 
-Excellent command of social media (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, blogs) 
-Quick start to new technology platforms. Excellent writing skills across platforms.
-An SAR or similar Jewish High School education is preferred 

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience
