Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sales Engineer with a strong technical background in maritime autonomy and a passion for supporting our military forces. You will be critical in supporting our Business Development Managers in technical sales and client relations. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between our innovative autonomy solutions and our client’s specific needs, ensuring a clear understanding and alignment of expectations.
Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to Account Managers during sales meetings, product demonstrations, and client engagements
- Solution Customization: Understand customer requirements and work collaboratively with the engineering team to tailor our autonomy solutions to meet specific client needs
- Client Education: Educate clients and stakeholders on the capabilities, advantages, and operational aspects of our USVs and autonomy systems
- Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, ensuring that all client specifications and requirements are addressed accurately
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct and coordinate live and virtual demonstrations of our autonomous vessels, showcasing their capabilities and value propositions
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in maritime autonomy to inform product development and sales strategies
- Post-Sale Support: Provide ongoing technical support and training to clients, ensuring successful implementation and operation of our autonomy solutions
- Feedback Collection: Gather client feedback and collaborate with the product development team to drive continuous improvement of our products and services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Marine Sciences, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in the maritime industry
- Strong understanding of autonomous systems, unmanned vehicles, and maritime operations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, product demonstrations, and industry events
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance
