Job Overview
We are seeking a Test Engineer Intern to join our R&D Test Engineering team. This role is ideal for motivated and ambitious individuals with a strong education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with R&D Test Engineers to support the downstream workflow tasks of directed research, design, build and more
- Work alongside current Test team executing engineering report writing, data acquisition, data analysis, Arduino & Raspberry PI programming, general coding, hand tool, power tools and more
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or related degree
- Coursework in CAD, Machine Element Design, Solid Mechanics
- Preferred coursework in Fluid Mechanics, FEA, Electrical, Electronics, programming
- Experience with engineering calculations, solid modeling, drawing
- Preferred experience with FEA, GD&T, engineering report writing, data acquisition, data analysis, Arduino & Raspberry PI programming, general coding, hand tool, power tools
- Ability to travel as needed
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional standing and walking within the office.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports.
- Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages).
