Job Overview:
We seek an experienced, hands-on Capture and Proposal Manager to lead and drive our proposal process for cutting-edge autonomous vessel projects. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless proposal integration and successful delivery. Your efforts will be crucial in securing contracts and advancing our mission.
Responsibilities
- Proposal Development: Lead the end-to-end proposal process, ensuring compliance with DoD requirements and tailoring content to client needs. Dive into the details to craft compelling, winning narratives.
- Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with engineering, finance, and supply chain teams to gather and integrate critical input, ensuring accuracy and alignment across all proposal elements.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire proposal lifecycle, managing timelines and deadlines and resolving any issues to ensure timely submission.
- Client Engagement: As the primary contact for proposal inquiries, working closely with clients to understand and incorporate their feedback.
- Proposal Strategy: Develop strategies to enhance proposal quality and competitiveness by analyzing bid requirements and competitor approaches.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all proposal documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations, maintaining thorough records of activities.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead the proposal team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Professional Writing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years in proposal writing and management, with a proven track record in the defense or technology sectors. Extensive experience in contract writing and detailed proposal crafting is essential. Experience with autonomous systems and DoD contracts is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in an easily understood manner.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in proposal management software and tools.
