Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing defense autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations for the Department of Defense (DoD) through autonomous and intelligent platforms.
At Saronic, we’re building the next generation of autonomous maritime systems. To succeed at scale, we need a strong digital backbone—a tightly integrated network of business systems that connect engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, mission services, and customer delivery. As the Director of Business Systems, you will architect and lead this backbone, ensuring our enterprise systems enable speed, precision, and resilience as we scale from development into production and deployment.
You will oversee and integrate the systems that power a modern advanced shipbuilder—from ERP and PLM to MES, WMS, and CRM—while tailoring them to the unique requirements of maritime operations and Department of Defense programs. Your team will ensure these systems are not just “keeping up” with the business, but actively propelling it forward, serving as the keel of the company’s digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Business Systems Stack: Lead the strategy, implementation, and management of core enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, MES, WMS, CRM, HCM, LMS, CAD, etc.) that support engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.
- Deliver Maritime Scale: Build and optimize digital processes that can flex with the needs of a maritime manufacturer—covering everything from hull design in CAD/PLM, to outfitting and supply chain traceability, to customer fleet support.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Production, Mission Services, and Finance to align business systems with operational requirements. Translate needs into workflows and tools that actually scale.
- Integration & Data Flow: Ensure seamless integration across systems to enable real-time visibility—from design data to manufacturing execution to fleet sustainment.
- Compliance & Security: Maintain systems in compliance with ITAR, DFARS, and cybersecurity standards while ensuring usability and speed.
- Archimedes’ Lever: Identify bottlenecks in business processes and create digital solutions that give the company mechanical advantage—accelerating everything from prototype builds to fleet deployments.
- Team Development: Build and mentor a small but high-performing Business Systems team that can deliver results in a fast-paced, maritime defense startup environment.
