Job Overview 
We are seeking a Market Intelligence Analyst to join our Strategy team. This role is critical in shaping our market strategy and ensuring competitive edge. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of defense industry trends, and a passion for emerging technologies. This role will report to our Head of Strategy. 

Responsibilities

    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of competitors, industry trends, and market dynamics in the autonomous surface vessel sector 
    • Monitor DoD procurement initiatives, funding allocations, and policy changes impacting ASV technology 
    • Compile, analyze, and synthesize data from public and proprietary sources to identify competitive threats and opportunities 
    • Develop and maintain a competitive intelligence database to track key players, products, and technological advancements 
    • Convert competitive intelligence into quantifiable financial analysis that can be easily digested  
    • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business development teams to provide actionable insights and recommendations 
    • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and briefs for executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making 
    • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to gather intelligence and build relationships 

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Political Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred 
    • Experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or strategic analysis, preferably in the defense or technology sectors 
    • Familiarity with DoD procurement processes, FAR/DFARS regulations, and defense contracting 
    • Familiarity with bespoke financial analysis and modeling is desired  
    • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights 
    • Proficiency in competitive intelligence tools, databases, and research methodologies 
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders 
    • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required
