Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced International Business Development Manager to join our expanding team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in international sales, account management, and the maritime autonomy industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and growing our client base, ensuring that our advanced ASV solutions meet the diverse needs of our international clientele.


    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and met
    • Serve as Saronic's full-time presence in Washington, DC or Austin, TX
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand regional trends and regulatory environments
    • Collaborate with our product development and engineering teams to tailor our ASVs and related solutions to meet specific client requirements
    • Prepare and present tailored product demonstrations, proposals, and quotations to international clients
    • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies
    • Provide exceptional post-sales support, coordinating with our technical support team to resolve any product or service issues
    • Attend international trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to network and promote our products
    • Pursue and attain challenging but achievable sales and performance goals within the designated international territories
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product offerings, capabilities, and competitive advantages
    • Ensure all account management activities are recorded and tracked in the company’s CRM system


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Engineering, or a related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international sales or account management, preferably within the maritime or defense industry
    • Strong understanding of maritime autonomy and unmanned surface vessels
    • Deep understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process and International Trade of Arms Regulation (ITAR) compliance
    • Proven ability to navigate international trade regulations (FMS, ITAR, offset, etc.) and cultural business differences
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
    • Willingness to travel extensively to meet business objectives
    • Proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset
    • Security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required
