Job Overview
We are seeking a Sensors/Hardware Engineer focused on integrating and optimizing sensor hardware that powers our autonomous vessel systems. You will be critical in selecting, testing, and deploying the sensor setups essential to our navigation and operational systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement sensor systems for maritime autonomous vehicles
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware systems with software platforms
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of sensor hardware under various marine conditions
- Analyze and interpret data from multiple sensors to improve system reliability and performance
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in sensor technology and evaluate potential applications in maritime autonomy
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for sensor-related issues during field trials and operations
- Document technical specifications, installation procedures, and system optimizations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
- Proven experience with sensor technologies, including LIDAR, RADAR, sonar, GPS, and IMUs
- Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and system debugging
- Experience with real-time data processing and analysis
- Familiarity with marine operations and challenges associated with the maritime environment is a plus
