Saronic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of IT knowledge, with expertise in systems administration, network management, technical support. This role requires a proactive professional who can manage complex IT projects, troubleshoot advanced technical issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure.
As the Senior IT Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting Saronic from and mitigating risks to our groundbreaking ASV technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Administration:
- Manage and maintain both on-prem and cloud servers, including installation, configuration, and updates.
- Monitor system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and oversee backup and recovery solutions.
- Network Management:
- Support and maintain LANs, WANs, and other networking systems.
- Support network security and compliance with company policies.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues and implement solutions.
- Technical Support:
- Provide advanced technical support to internal users, resolving complex hardware and software issues.
- Develop and maintain IT support documentation and procedures.
- Mentor junior IT staff and provide training as needed.
- Audio-Visual (AV) Support:
- Manage and support AV systems, including setup and troubleshooting of conferencing equipment.
- Coordinate AV requirements for meetings, presentations, and events.
- Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and recommend improvements.
- ServiceNow Administration:
- Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform, including IT Service Management (ITSM) modules.
- Develop workflows, automate processes, and customize ServiceNow applications to meet organizational needs.
- Provide user support and training on ServiceNow functionalities.
- IT Projects:
- Lead and manage IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess technology needs and recommend solutions.
- Evaluate and implement asset management to improve efficiency and visibility.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure the security of IT systems and data through adherence to security policies and best practices.
- Participate in the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures.
- Stay current with emerging threats and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment and services.
- Manage relationships and contracts to ensure optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems to include SOP’s.
- Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and project status for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, and network management.
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects and leading technical initiatives.
- Proficiency with ServiceNow platform administration, workflows and design.
- Confirmed experience with operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and macOS.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPN’s, EDR, MDM, SIEM, Identity and Cloud management.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery and implementation.
