ABOUT THE POSITION

Join Satori Capital as our Management Company Controller and shape the financial foundation of a leading alternative investment firm recognized as #1 2024 “Best Companies to Work for in Fort Worth” and “Best Companies to Work for in Texas." This newly created position has emerged due to Satori’s growth and increasing complexity. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll oversee the accounting and financial operations of our multiple management companies, supporting private equity, alternatives, and thematic investment strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive scalable processes, deliver actionable financial insights, and collaborate with leadership to align operations with our mission of conscious capitalism. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for accounting operations across 5+ management company entities (and other affiliated entities), including general ledger, month-end closing, and reconciliations
    • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policy
    • Prepare and deliver timely financial statements and management reporting and analysis
    • Develop an internal reporting package and financial dashboards to provide insights to senior leadership
    • Manage Satori’s treasury functions including online banking platform, cash management, transfer approvals, and credit facilities
    • Administer intercompany and portfolio company cost allocations and reimbursement process
    • Supervise the outsourced management company accounting team, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with Satori’s expectations
    • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting efforts in collaboration with the CFO and Firm leadership
    • Monitor and forecast cash flow to support short-term and long-term liquidity planning
    • Manage credit facility utilization and planning to optimize capital availability
    • Coordinate tax return preparation and related compliance activities with external tax advisors
    • Support regulatory compliance in partnership with Satori’s Chief Compliance Officer and third-party providers
    • Ensure adherence to compliance calendar and timely submission of all required deliverables
    • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, vendor management, and employee expense reporting
    • Assist HR and operations teams in ensuring alignment across finance and people functions
    • Act as back-up to fund controllers to ensure business continuity and seamless operations
    • Design and implement scalable financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and fund controllers to support firm-wide initiatives
    • Leverage platforms like Wrike to streamline workflows and enhance task management
    • Promote Satori’s values and contribute to a culture of purpose-driven performance

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (required)
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (required)
    • 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with an alternative investment firm, including private equity and hedge funds
    • Deep knowledge of GAAP, management company structures, financial reporting, expense allocations, partnership accounting, and tax compliance
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
    • Direct experience working with fund administrators and other service providers is preferred
