About the Role

    • At SAVii, we’re building a suite of financial products to give people more stability, control over their future and support when they need it the most. Come and help us transform the lives of working people in emerging markets by helping them reach their financial goals.
    • The primary focus of this role is to review and streamline B2C processes based on key risk exposures; identify and assess risks of loan applications and other B2C products and services; and design and implement effective strategies to manage relevant risks from the company’s B2C business.
    • We’re not looking for rockstars or ninjas as no single person is bigger than the team. We want someone who is friendly, thoughtful, and mature. Be patient and kind and you’re on the right track. Be relentlessly honest but polite and you’re well on your way to having the traits we’re looking for. You’ll have to show the team best practices and they’ll lean on you when they have problems and need help so treat this as a responsibility and not a power.

Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor and close tickets assigned to Risk, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of all risk-related matters.
    • Evaluate and endorse loan applications, ensuring compliance with risk policies and guidelines.
    • Assess and endorse loan applications from Key Contacts (KCs) and VIPs, considering their unique risk profiles.
    • Review and approve loan applications with deviations from standard policies, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
    • Review and approve loans for porting to another partner-company, ensuring a thorough risk analysis for deviations from established procedures.
    • Blacklist customers based on identified risk factors, maintaining a comprehensive record of blacklisted individuals, entities, and relevant information.
    • Identify and assess high-risk customers, implementing proactive risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
    • Review and approve refund requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and evaluating associated risks.
    • Evaluate and endorse requests for waiving fees and charges, considering the impact on overall risk exposure and profitability.
    • Review and approve write-off requests for outstanding loans, applying sound judgment and adherence to policies.
    • Manage the deletion of customer data in compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.
    • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) and Credit Information Corporation (CIC) in a timely manner.
    • Conduct targeted reviews to identify and address specific risk areas, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Monitor operational risk incidents and assist in managing the operational risk incident management process of the company.
    • Review operational and B2C policies and standard operating procedures and provide recommendations, as applicable.
    • Prepare, coordinate, and present periodic reports on B2C processes and key risk areas.
    • Provide other services and assistance as required.

Professional Qualifications

    • College graduate preferably with a degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accountancy, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, or equivalent.
    • With at least 4-5 years of relevant risk management experience.
    • A passion for customer service alongside strong judgment and critical thinking to obtain the best outcome for customers and the business
    • With good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, highly analytical planning and organizing problem-solving and decision-making skills, self-management, research, and innovation.
    • People-oriented and result-driven, team player, willing to learn and apply new techniques and strategies. Can cope with a fast-changing environment.
    • Proven ability to work under pressure, able to multitask, and safeguard confidential information.
    • Knowledgeable in the Google Suite and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
