Product Documentation is one of the important aspects of the organization that can benefit multiple teams by reducing burden on Customer Support, improving self-help to the customers and help scale product adoption.
As a Technical Writer the primary responsibility will be to maintain product documentation by keeping it up to date, accurate and articulating it well to make it easier for the readers to consume.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Resolve issues reported on the existing product documentation
- Prepare Release Notes for all new releases
- Ability to troubleshoot or perform a quick POC/validation of a feature to ensure accurate documentation
- Adhere to and update in-house style guide for documentation
- Work closely with subject matter experts, engineers and product team to ensure accurate product documentation
- Monitor and generate reports on usage of product documentation
- Active participation in responding to documentation related questions in Forums
- Work closely with Infrastructure/DevOps on internal facing process related documentation
- Create internal and external knowledge base articles to assist customer facing teams
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or CIS/Cyber Security/IT field or an equivalent experience
- 1-2 years as a technical writer
- Experience with ticketing tools such as Freshdesk, ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.
- Experience with documentation of policies and procedures as well as KM discipline
- Ability to understand and write MySQL/SQL queries for feature validation relating to Documentation
- Knowledge and experience in invoking REST/SOAP webservices using tools such as Postman
- Experience with one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of Server Administration
- Ability to excel in a team-oriented, project-based work environment
- Strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to think on your feet, adapt and overcome
- Strong interpersonal and business communication skills
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy environment
