Security Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, focused on endpoint and cloud security. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in securing and managing our organization's digital assets, designing, and implementing security automations and measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing vulnerability assessments.




WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Design, implement, and manage security solutions for endpoints, including desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices using MDM solutions.
    • Implement centralized management for endpoints and cloud workloads, ensuring comprehensive patching, and automatic deployment of security agents across all systems.
    • Conduct routine vulnerability assessments in cloud environments to pinpoint vulnerabilities, assess their potential impact, and offer strategic guidance on effective remediation measures.
    • Implement and oversee system hardening initiatives across endpoints and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices to enhance overall security posture. 
    • Monitor cloud security systems, detect security incidents, and respond promptly to cloud-based security breaches or vulnerabilities.
    • Build and Develop security automations and orchestration to enhance the efficiency of the security operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud and endpoint security measures into new and existing systems and applications.
    • Stay updated with the latest cloud and endpoint security threats, trends, and technologies to recommend and implement enhancements.
    • Participate in incident response activities related to cloud-based security incidents, including investigation, containment, and recovery efforts.
    • Maintain documentation related to cloud security configurations, incidents, resolutions, and vulnerability management processes.

WHAT YOU BRING

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)8 years of proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on endpoint security, cloud security in AWS and Azure environments, and vulnerability management.
    • Strong understanding of AWS and Azure cloud technologies, including services, architecture, and security controls.
    • Experience with tools and technologies, such as AWS Config, AWS Systems Manager, Azure VM Extensions and Update Management, Google Workspace - GCPW, Ciscat and vulnerability scanning tools.
    • Certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Speciality, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or related certifications are highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation, tool development, and vulnerability management in cloud environments is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or collaboratively in cloud security projects.
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information about AWS and Azure security and vulnerability management to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
