Position Description: 
Sayari is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Product team for an intensive 4-month program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data & risk intelligence. You will contribute to meaningful projects that enhance our data offerings, improve risk detection capabilities, and support our global customer base. This role is ideal for a proactive learner eager to dive into the world of global public records, data analysis, and risk intelligence. The role would report into Sayari’s Product Manager for Risk and Insights.

What You’ll Do:

    • This internship is designed to provide broad exposure and impact for our Risk Data offerings. 
    • Data Curation & Labeling: Undertake an analytical project focused on maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and coverage in our risk intelligence suite. Extract, curate, and maintain of existing and new risk intelligence datasets by extracting structured data from reports and regulations, conducting entity disambiguation, and performing data labeling. Translate analytical findings into concrete recommendations to improve existing data holdings.
    • Monitor & Improve Risk Detection Capabilities: Utilize regression testing tools to monitor, diagnose, and understand changes in risk outputs. Generate actionable insights from regression testing analysis to directly contribute to the future development and enhancement of our risk detection capabilities.
    • Support Product Operations and Research: Investigate and resolve internal inquiries regarding Sayari’s risk data holdings. Develop compelling content and resources to empower revenue and customer-facing teams to effectively communicate the value of our risk data. Conduct in-depth analysis of evolving regulatory trends and identify key areas for future Product innovation and growth.

What You’ll Bring: (Qualifications & Skills):

    • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in fields such as, Economics, International Relations,  Geopolitical Risk, Political Science, Journalism, Business, Area Studies, or a related discipline.
    • A genuine interest in global data, public records, risk intelligence, anti-financial crime, or related domains.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
    • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn new concepts and tools.
    • Availability to work 35-40 hours per week for the 4 month duration of the summer internship.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) or Google Workspace.

Preferred (Bonus Skills):

    • Professional fluency (reading comprehension) in one or more of the following languages: Chinese, Russian, French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Farsi
    • Technical aptitude, including experience or familiarity with quantitative business analysis, coding (Python/SQL), or data science principles.
    • Basic understanding of data quality principles or company/trade data.
    • Experience in investigations or open-source research for commercial, academic, or similar purposes (internship & academic experience included)
