This is a 6 month contract with expectations to work between 30-40 hours per week.
Position Description:
We’re looking for a Contract Senior Product Designer to help execute against Sayari’s core user experience: our interconnected graph and map products. You’ll design tools that enable commercial users to identify and act on risk, reimagining how complex relationships are surfaced and explored. You’ll partner closely with UX Research, and cross-functional product teams to bring intuitive, powerful interfaces to life.
We’re especially looking for someone with strong visual taste, a refined product sensibility, and ability to ramp up and execute quickly.
Job Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Design: Lead ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design for complex interfaces that blend graph networks and interactive maps. Collaborate with user researchers to validate assumptions and iterate based on qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Design System Contribution: Contribute to and extend our shared design system, ensuring consistency across graph, map, and risk-analysis workflows. Define new components, patterns, and guidelines that support scalability and accessibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and engineers to translate user needs and business goals into clear design requirements and stories. Present design rationale and trade-offs to senior leadership, advocating for user-centered solutions.
- Craft & Aesthetics: Bring “great taste” to every pixel: curate visual language, color, typography, and motion that elevate our brand and delight users. Stay abreast of design trends to keep Sayari’s products feeling fresh, polished, and innovative.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 6+ years in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating data-intensive or mapping interfaces.
- Communication: Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Design Sense: A proven eye for detail, color, layout, and motion, able to articulate design decisions that balance beauty and usability. Collaboration: Strong communication skills and experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
- User Advocacy: Familiarity with conducting or partnering on user research; ability to translate insights into design outcomes.
- Growth Mindset: Eagerness to experiment with emerging AI tools, continuously refining your craft and sharing learnings.
- Domain Interest: Bonus points for prior exposure to supply chain risk, third-party risk, or enterprise SaaS environments.
- Technical Skills: Expert in Figma (incl. AI plugins), proficient with generative AI tools and vibe-coding workflows.Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Vercel, emerging AI prototyping solutions). Deep working on B2B SaaS platform teams, geospatial tools, and design system frameworks.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in understanding and visualizing complex data sets related to geography, relationships, and risk.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
$85 - $115 an hour
The target compensation range for this position is $85-$115/hr. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
