Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Hardware Orchestration team to support the deployment of new Availability Zones and enhance our capabilities on high-intensity projects such as HPC.

Your mission will be to design, automate, and maintain the software tools that manage our physical infrastructure in order to ensure smooth, resilient, and fully automated provisioning of our bare metal platforms.

You’ll join a team of 7 engineers focused on automating the provisioning of bare metal servers. This team builds the core orchestration tools that control Scaleway’s physical infrastructure and works closely with data center, network, and production teams.

Your manager, Thomas, is a Software Engineer at Scaleway with 15 years of experience in big data architecture and telecom. A Supélec graduate, he values autonomy, precision, and the transmission of knowledge.

Tasks

- Automate the provisioning of bare metal servers at scale

- Contribute to the deployment of new Availability Zones

- Collaborate closely with networking and hardware engineering teams

- Improve the resilience and performance of orchestration tools

- Document processes and share operational knowledge

- Help maintain a reliable, observable, and scalable infrastructure foundation

Strong development skills in Python and/or Go

Knowledge of DNS, NTP, DHCP, TFTP, HTTP(s), Docker

Experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu, Debian, or RedHat)

Monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, ElasticSearch, Kibana

Infrastructure automation: Ansible, Vault (or similar secret managers)

Experience with Netbox or similar inventory tools

Understanding of cloud-native architectures and provisioning systems

Hybrid work: We offer up to 3 days of remote work per week.
