Rigging Development TD

Reporting to Rigging Development Supervisor, the Rigging Development TD supports rigging team by designs, builds, and maintains in-house asset related user-friendly tools, UI , modules and plugins when needed.  Actively demonstrated advanced skill level and up with; Maya API, Python, and QT.

Key Responsibilities

    • Works daily with Rigging Management team to identify and implement existing and new features
    • Asset RnD
    • Designs and builds toolsets to augment the existing rigging assets
    • Attends production meetings as need for information and requirements gathering
    • Writes Technical Briefs and provides supporting documentation
    • Identifies early areas of improvement; escalate issues as needed
    • Supports riggers and artists by debugging tool/rig related issues
    • Updates existing rigging Library

Qualifications

    • Minimum four (4) years of experience in Rigging for VFX, Gaming, or similar development environment
    • Good understanding of rigging for VFX, including parallel evaluation. Maya API, Python
    • Excellent understanding of 3d Mathematics
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • C++, Shotgun, 3ds Max (a plus)
    • BA Computer Science, Math, or similar discipline (plus)
    • Experience delivering complete milestones/tasks
    • Good at debug shot and tool related issues
    • Eye for detail, initiative, and excellent organizational skills
    • Team player who is able to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Strong trouble shooting/problem solving ability
