Summary of Position:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate digital marketing enthusiast to play a critical role in applying cutting edge practices to enable the successful launch of apitegromab, the company’s phase 3 candidate for the treatment of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). The Associate Director, Digital Marketing will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital marketing efforts to enhance the organization’s presence across multi-channel platforms. This individual will oversee the digital strategy for media, social media, and other online channels, ensuring alignment with brand and business goals. As a leader within the life sciences and biotech industry, the Associate Director will be responsible for driving breadth and depth of patient and healthcare professional (HCP) engagement, brand awareness, and revenue growth through innovative digital campaigns. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with a unique opportunity to lead in an entrepreneurial environment and effect the trajectory of the company’s first launch.
Position Responsibilities:
- Multi-Channel Strategy Development and Execution
- Develop and lead an integrated omni-channel marketing strategy to ensure a seamless and personalized customer experience across channels, including websites, email, paid media, social media, and CRM platforms.
- Support the implementation of systems and platforms in ex-US markets in preparation for launch
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, product marketing, medical affairs, regulatory, IT) to align digital initiatives with overarching business goals.
- Leverage data and analytics to optimize the customer journey, driving meaningful engagement with patients, caregivers, and HCPs.
- Partner with brand team to drive competitive differentiation and increased share of voice through a robust digital presence at launch and beyond
- Digital Media Management
- Design and execute targeted paid media campaigns (search, display, programmatic, video) to maximize reach and ROI in compliance with industry regulations.
- Partner with external media agencies to develop and monitor campaigns, ensuring performance metrics are met or exceeded.
- Evaluate emerging digital advertising opportunities in the biotech and life sciences sector to make a meaningful impact in driving unbranded and branded marketing campaigns
- Social Media Leadership
- Oversee the development of a robust social media strategy to grow brand presence and engagement on platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and emerging networks.
- Ensure all social media content adheres to industry standards, including FDA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights for optimization.
- Manage social listening tools to monitor brand sentiment and trends in the industry
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze campaign performance data and generate insights to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Work with analytics teams to track and report KPIs, including conversion rates, engagement metrics, and overall campaign ROI.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within life sciences, biotech, or healthcare industries.
- Proven track record of implementing successful omni-channel campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of paid media platforms, including Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta and programmatic advertising.
- Expertise in social media marketing, including platform-specific strategies and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements in the life sciences industry, including FDA guidelines for digital marketing.
- Exceptional leadership, project management, and communication skills.
