Job Summary:
As a Member Success Manager, you will be both a servant leader and inspiring coach on the Student Impact Team, helping student-led chapters thrive while modeling our four core values—Integrity, Humility, Compassion, and Excellence—in a highly supportive, feedback-driven culture. With the support of the VP of Student Impact, you will work closely with Chapter Presidents to help them lead their teams effectively, build strong communities, and create engaging programming that supports SOF’s mission.

Your role involves one-on-one coaching, leadership development, conflict resolution, and strategic guidance to ensure our members experience deep personal and professional growth. You will also own key operational processes to drive efficiency and ensure chapter leaders meet their commitments.

In this role, you'll shape the next generation of finance leaders, collaborate with a high-impact team, and refine SOF’s student engagement strategy. The base salary for this position is $60,000 to $80,000.

What You'll Do

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for 30-35 university chapters, coaching Chapter Presidents and their leadership teams on leadership, team management, and strategic planning for upcoming semesters.
    • Prepare chapter coaching call agendas and host 2-6 coaching calls daily with Chapter Presidents (as needed), helping them develop leadership skills, solve challenges, and execute key chapter priorities.
    • Lead conflict resolution between chapter leaders and provide mediation support.
    • Help students connect their leadership responsibilities to their long-term career goals, ensuring they develop skills that serve them beyond college.
    • Lead Leadership Team Member trainings to explain key performance expectations.
    • Prepare and send coaching call agendas and recap emails to track next steps.
    • Hold chapters accountable for meeting events, membership, and operational standards.
    • Monitor and ensure chapter leaders update programming and membership data in the SOF App.
    • Provide regular updates to the VP of Student Impact and CEO on chapter progress.
    • Support Chapter Presidents in planning high-impact events to engage their members.
    • Lead the monthly National President Forum, sharing best practices and leadership training.
    • Organize summer socials in three cities to strengthen the SOF network.
    • Travel to 2-3 chapter visits in the fall and attend 2-3 Leadership Conferences in the spring.
    • Lead weekly Student Impact Team meetings to discuss student engagement strategies and chapter issues
    • Participate in National Team meetings, sharing student insights to inform SOF’s broader strategy.
    • Surface technology and process improvements to optimize student experience.

What You'll Need - Foundational Qualifications

    • 2-5 years of experience in customer/student/member success, relationship management, finance, consulting, or project management.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
    • Experience coaching students or managing volunteer-led teams
    • Strong background in relationship management, program operations, and process optimization.
    • Proficiency in customer/member relationship management (CRM) software, data tracking, and reporting.
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership for outcomes while prioritizing and juggling multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Passion for learning and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to travel up to 20% of your time, including on nights and weekends if needed.

What You'll Need - Leadership and Management

    • Teambuilder and influencer to students. Must have the ability to develop strong relationships, escalate when necessary, and get results.
    • Ability to think quickly on your feet creatively and constructively: being a great coach to students when you are on calls with them.
    • Ability to motivate volunteer leaders to in turn motivate groups of volunteers.
    • Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented in juggling multiple priorities, tracking progress, and staying on top of follow-ups.
    • Excellent communicator and active listener who is empathetic and assertive to be able to ask the right questions and listen carefully to what our members need.
