Overview
Field-facing buyer supporting on-site electrical construction. You’ll own day-to-day project procurement—quotes, POs, deliveries, and expediting—for time-critical installs. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with superintendents and PMs to keep materials flowing and the schedule protected.

What You’ll Do
Source, quote, and purchase electrical construction commodities: pipe, wire, conduit, switchgear/gear, lighting, and power distribution equipment.
Coordinate material takeoffs, validate counts against drawings/specs, and align buys to installation sequences.
Issue RFQs, compare bids, negotiate pricing/terms, and place POs; track releases and delivery dates.
Stage and sequence deliveries with the field; resolve shortages, substitutions, returns, and warranty issues.
Maintain supplier relationships; monitor on-time delivery and jobsite material KPIs; expedite as needed.
Keep procurement logs current in ERP/trackers; support submittals and closeout documentation.
Be present in the field—walk work areas, meet foremen, and adjust plans in real time.

Requirements
3+ years buying electrical commodities for construction or distribution.
Working knowledge of electrical construction materials and how they’re used in the field.
Strong RFQ/negotiation, PO execution, expediting, and vendor management skills.
Ability to read plans/specs/schedules and align buys to project milestones.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and procurement/ERP tools.
Comfortable in a jobsite environment and partnering closely with field operations.
