POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Overhaul & Repair Parts Coordinator
Reports to: Overhaul & Repair (O&R) Manager
Department: Operations
Function
Provide support to the Overhaul and Repair Operations and Supply Chain teams through the timely and accurate coordination of refurbished, repaired, and overhauled materials. This role includes provisioning, inventory oversight, and ensuring material readiness in alignment with production schedules and budget targets from induction to completion.
Primary Responsibilities
Assume full accountability for refurbished and overhauled parts, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliant transaction processing in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA). Oversee dedicated stockroom activities.
Manage the dispatch and return of parts for refurbishment/repair/overhaul using approved procedures and routing priorities to optimize efficiency and minimize turnaround time.
Oversee the receiving and inspection process for refurbished/repaired parts, ensuring proper intake and prioritized handling aligned with operational needs.
Collaborate closely with O&R Managers, Supervisors, and Planners to ensure availability of required parts as identified by technicians and leadership.
Execute timely and accurate ERP system transactions to reflect materials status and location.
Manage vendor relationships for overhaul and repair services, including cost assessments, lead time management, and negotiation of long-term agreements where applicable.
Maintain adequate inventory of critical overhaul components (e.g., motors, fans, servos, hooks) through effective oversight of the rotable inventory pool.
Support O&R production planning and scheduling, including work order creation, review, closure, and analysis of stocking levels and usage reports.
Collaborate across departments to resolve parts shortages, expedite materials, and explore alternate sourcing or internal solutions to maintain schedule integrity.
Work with O&R leadership to ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs) are accurate and continuously updated.
Accuracy Requirements
High attention to detail is essential to avoid delays, cost overruns, and disruptions to the production schedule.
Supervision Received
Operates with general direction from O&R Manager(s); works independently to fulfill responsibilities in line with leadership goals and production objectives.
Required Qualifications
Familiarity with FAA regulations, military specifications, and the aerospace industry.
Background in manufacturing, supply chain, and Overhaul & Repair operations.
Experience reviewing and implementing Bills of Material (BOM).
Experience with production planning processes preferred.
Proficiency with computerized planning systems such as MRP II is a plus.
