About the Senior Data Scientist role:
As a Senior Data Scientist at Scorpion, you’ll work with our growing data science team to develop data products for Scorpion and its clients. We’re looking for a natural collaborator who will be excited to provide innovative solutions, insights, and features to both new and existing products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop predictive models to support sound strategic decisions for automated marketing campaigns
- Validate production models and analyze the performance of existing models
- Assess the usefulness of new data sources, transformations, and modeling techniques
- Collaborate with business experts and managers to scope, prioritize, and develop new products
Qualifications:
- Quantitative Bachelor’s Degree (Quantitative Master’s/PhD preferred)
- 5+ years designing production systems in python, leading teams or new initiatives, and modeling
- Experience with machine learning cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/etc.)
- Expertise in Python (including extensive experience with pandas/numpy/scikit-learn/xgboost/etc.)
- Statistics expertise (A/B Testing, experiment design, Bayesian methods, etc.)
- 3+ years of SQL experience (comfortable writing complex multi-table queries)
- A sound understanding of common machine learning algorithms (RF, SVM, LR, GBDT, etc.) and model training techniques
