This role will be working directly for Logical Holdings, our Group company.

As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You’ll work closely with the Group Financial Accountant and other departments to deliver timely and insightful financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with preparing monthly management accounts for inclusion in board reporting, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolution of unreconciled differences
    • Manage accounts receivable process, including credit control, aged debt reporting and working with internal teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies and ensure timely collection
    • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
    • Review of monthly payroll including gross to gross reconciliation, and working with internal teams and external payroll provider to resolve any issues / queries. Monthly uploads to the pension provider. Reconciliation of payroll balance sheet accounts.
    • Key contact for audit queries and preparation of support
    • Review and approve supplier invoices for payment ensuring internal controls have been followed
    • Various reporting activities including but not limited to tax, cashflow, ONS and Crown Commercial
    • Building relationships with various teams within the business and identifying and driving process and control improvements
    • The relatively small size of the finance team adds scope to be involved in a variety of projects

What We’re Looking For

    • AAT / CIMA / ACCA qualified or working towards qualification.
    • Experience with payroll and VAT returns.
    • Strong experience in bookkeeping and accounting best practices.
    • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • A collaborative team player with a keen eye for detail.
