Role Summary

We're seeking a Growth Platforms Architect to become the engineering cornerstone of our integrations with existing key marketing and data platforms, such as Google Ads, and Iterable, and exploring new integrations with affiliate marketing platforms and other martech tools. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in enabling our performance marketing & lifecycle teams, and other stakeholders to leverage a robust set of data for a variety of purposes through these platforms.

Key Responsibilities

    • Platform Integration and Management: Architect and implement scalable data pipelines to move data from our data warehouse into various platforms, enhancing our Lifecycle communications and performance marketing capabilities.
    • Data Architecture: Design robust, scalable data architectures that support the needs of multiple stakeholders, ensuring data reliability, efficiency, and privacy.
    • Data Governance: Participate in data governance discussions, advocating for best practices in data management, security, and compliance.
    • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with product managers, marketing teams, BSA organization, and engineering teams across applications and infrastructure to ensure seamless integration and effective use of data platforms.
    • Technology Expertise: Stay abreast of and advise on technologies relevant to data architecture, pipeline construction, and platform integration.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Deep background in data engineering, with proven experience in architecting and implementing data pipelines and architectures.E
    • xpertise in SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
    • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and data integration tools (e.g., Airflow, Stitch, Fivetran).Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance issues.
    • Strong track record of leading large projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

    • Experience with marketing platforms like Google and Iterable.
    • Knowledge of lifecycle communications strategies and performance marketing.
    • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-focused tech environment.
At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States. In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $167,000 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $270,500 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California]. 

In the United States, outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $137,500 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $256,750 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California]. 

In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $172,000 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $255,250 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market]. 

We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a competitive equity ownership, and a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
