Director of Engineering

To support the fast growth of Secfi, we are looking for a great leader who can build and manage our Engineering team, currently consisting of 15 Engineers. Our ideal Director of Engineering is that special person with a great technical background and the ability to motivate their team and push them to great results. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager that wants to take on the Director challenge of scaling a successful product and team.

In this role you will need to:

    • Manage and build a team of engineers, helping them grow as professionals
    • Grow the engineering team from 15 to 30 in the near term
    • Designing and implementing a performance management system in collaboration with HR
    • Solve issues that stand in your team’s way to success
    • Proactively find and implement tech stack improvements and ways to streamline the engineering team’s workflow
    • Guide the team to successfully build features, write automated tests and refactor code
    • Create a technical roadmap through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to identify pain points

Core Qualifications:

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership role for a company at scale
    • Excellent people and managerial skills
    • Hands-on experience with, or strong interest in, the following technologies: Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Postgres, Graphql (or similar)
    • Deep understanding of distributed systems, CI/CD and automated testing
    • Demonstrated passion for building comprehensive, intelligent and elegant solutions
    • Strong record of professional achievement, work ethic, and positive attitude
