Secfi’s mission is to help startup employees & shareholders understand, maximize and unlock the value of their equity. We provide education, tax planning tools and financing to guide employees on their journey from startup to exit.
Our set of online forecasting tools enable individuals to assess the value of their stock options and calculate the cost to exercise. Financing is available to help employees exercise options or unlock liquidity for important financial goals. And our team of Equity Advisors is available to assist every step of the way. We bring clarity, peace of mind and thoughtful planning to thousands of startup employees.
Working for a scale-up feels like building a plane while already flying in the air. It’s messy, it’s exciting, and you are constantly learning. Customer Focus, Perseverance, Action, Ownership, Diversity, and Team are embedded in everything we do.
Our Equity Strategy team serves as Secfi’s primary client facing team. You could say it is our sales team or our business development team. While Secfi Equity Strategists are the primary drivers of revenue for the company, we are brand ambassadors who focus on solving complicated and stressful problems for our clients. Our number 1 goal is to help clients make the most of their equity and by doing just that we may benefit too. We have strong ethics and only do deals that we truly believe in. We believe that by doing good to our clients, good will come to us. We aren’t sharks; there is no zero-sum game.
As an Analyst, you will be tasked with assisting your team through all aspects of the sales cycle and work on strategic initiatives for the team. This is a role set-up for you to learn and grow into an Associate on the team who will drive deal flow. You will assist your team in preparing presentations, modeling out client situations and setting up calls with clients.
You need to have relentless drive and passion for growing a company. You are someone who is not afraid to get your hands dirty and do what it takes to help achieve your team’s goals. There is no task too small or big for you and you need to be willing to attack everything asked at 110%.
You do not have to have previous related experience in finance or a fintech startup, but it would help. We are looking for someone coachable that is interested in working for a fast growing startup.
You need to have perseverance. Startups are hard and everyone knows it. Things will not always go your way and there will be times when you feel like you’re getting sucker punched in the face often. You must be someone who is willing to dig deep in order to win.
You will eventually be required to hold a Series 7 and Series 63 license in order to grow into an Associate. If you do not hold these licenses, you must be willing to study for the tests over the first year of employment. Secfi will provide time and support for your studies.
