For media companies, we create automatically augmented video and interactive, personalized, OTT experiences. We are at the forefront of computer vision, machine learning, big data, augmented reality, and product design. Second Spectrum is the Official Optical Tracking Provider of the NBA. In addition, we are working with several football (soccer) clubs and leagues in Europe and in the US, and provide software for coaches and players to help improve their game. We recently launched Clippers CourtVision which provides additional augmented modes of the broadcast video and provides additional ways to consume basketball broadcasts.

Second Spectrum is headquartered in Los Angeles (USA), with additional R&D offices in Lausanne (Switzerland) and Shanghai (China).

Responsibilities:

    • Run CourtVision augmented games by coordinating with vendors, partners and utilizing internal tools built to manage games
    • Manage and monitor video encoders and video workflows
    • Communicate with broadcast partners
    • Troubleshoot incoming and outgoing video and audio feeds
    • Update documentation to reflect run of show and as run reports
    • Ability to work a sports event based schedule; variable nights and weekends will be required depend on individual team schedules
    • Assist with tracking system installation and maintenance at various venues
    • Travel: Most of work will be out of our offices in Downtown Los Angeles, but some occasional travel may be required

Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience running live streaming events and general familiarity with encoders, cameras, basic video engineering and IP network troubleshooting
    • Some experience with video transmission protocols and troubleshooting (fiber, satellite, IP, etc)
    • Understanding of HLS and Dash video delivery specifications and common usage
    • Remain calm under pressure and make independent decisions during live events
    • Adapt to new technologies and processes quickly as the product evolves
