2D Creature Concept Artist (Mid/Senior)

We are seeking an experienced 2D Creature Concept Artist to work on one of the biggest Metaverse projects ever Seedworld.

As a 2D Creature Concept Artist, you will show your expertise and be responsible for creating fun and innovative designs for creatures, pets, and other fantastical beings of Seedworld.

Responsibilities:
- Design original and imaginative concepts for creatures and pets in and stylized fashion based on project requirements, scripts, or creative briefs.
- Develop personalities and characteristics for creatures to enhance their depth and believability within the fictional world.
- Conduct research on various sources to create and inspire the creature designs.
- Maintain consistency in design style and visual language, matching the artistic style of Seedworld.
- Work closely with the Art Department team to explore ideas and develop creature design of Seedworld.
- Work with Art Directors, Technical Artists and Developers to understand technical requirements and ensure the pipeline is as efficient as possible.
- Active participation in technical and artistic discussions and problem solving.
- Ability to summarize own work, identify problems, and documentation to make internal and outsourcing communication better for the full team.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior artists, sharing expertise and best practices in creature design, and assist training in the department if needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong creature design portfolio and experience with designing creatures in a non realistic style and at various scope (e.g mighty cool fantasy beast to cute pets).
- 5+ years as a creature concept artist in the gaming industry with at least one AAA game shipped in the last 5 years.
- 5+ years of experience using Photoshop.
- Good visual and technical understanding of creature anatomy and rendering.
- Good artistic eye to complement the technical knowledge and ease collaboration with the Art Director.
- Strong experience of lighting and texture from an artistic perspective. 

Desired Qualifications: 
- Fast, organized, collaborative and able to handle feedback.
- Good teamwork, strong organizational, communication skills and a fluent level in English along with understanding production values, deadlines and priorities.

Bonus Skills:
- Experience with sculpting creatures in Zbrush or Blender.
- Experience in the other area of expertise as a concept artist.
