As an APAC regionally focused recruiter operating in Japan, you will partner with Regional Sales & Marketing Leaders that oversee business in Japan, China, South Korea, and Singapore. In that capacity, you will manage the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding collaboration with People Operations. As the front line of engagement with top talent, this role is an ambassador of our values and business objectives, ensuring that each candidate aligns with what we need and desire most for our team.
As a lead recruiter in APAC, this role will need to have a grasp of fundamental people operations / HR practices. While this is a full-scale recruitment role, you will also coordinate onboarding in collaboration with People Operations and in-country administrative staff.
Please note: This role requires on-site work two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at an office located a short walk from Kanda Station.
What you will do:
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to identify and attract top talent across various APAC countries.
- Screen and evaluate resumes and applications to determine candidate suitability for open positions.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Manage and coordinate the entire recruitment process, from initial contact to offer extension.
- Build and maintain a strong employer brand in the APAC region through various channels, including social media and job boards.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling recruitment materials.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and business leaders to understand their hiring needs and priorities.
- Partner with HR teams across APAC to ensure a seamless onboarding of new hires.
- Travel 10% of the time to attend events with the Sensor Tower sales and marketing teams.
What you can bring to the role:
- Exceptional fluency in Japanese (equivalent to native-level) and expert-level English proficiency are required. Language skills will be assessed during the interview process.
- 7+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, bridging technical and non-technical recruiting, with a strong focus on the APAC region.
- Extensive knowledge of local labor laws and regulations in key APAC markets.
- Proven ability to source and attract top talent inside and outside of Japan.
- Proven ability to negotiate offers for upper management candidates to independent contributors.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools.
- Ability to attend events and travel 10% of the time.
- Big Plus: 2 + years of experience working alongside People Operations/HR administration, focusing on onboarding and benefits-related matters for candidates.
