SentiLink is building the future of identity verification in the United States.  The existing ways to determine if somebody is who they claim to be are clunky, ineffective, and expensive, but we believe strongly that the future will be 10x better. 

We’ve had tremendous traction and are growing extremely quickly.  Already our real-time APIs have helped verify hundreds of millions of identities, beginning with financial services.  We’ve recently raised a $70M Series B round, led by Craft Ventures to rapidly scale our best in class products.We’ve earned coverage and awards from TechCrunch, CNBC, Bloomberg, Forbes, Business Insider, PYMNTS, American Banker, LendIt, and others.  And we’ve even been a part of history--we were the first company to go live with eCBSV, and our CEO testified before the United States House of Representatives.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for supporting SentiLink’s Account Executives and Revenue Leadership in selling SentiLink solutions to Fintech companies, banks, credit unions, and specialty lenders. You’ll do this by identifying prospective SentiLink partners, conducting smart and proactive outreach on a day-to-day basis, and you can do so with a high degree of velocity and quality in all communications. Because we are a startup, you may wear a lot of hats as we scale, and you’ll have an eye towards turning your work into a scalable, repeatable process over time.

Responsibilities:

    • Own outbound sales efforts by identifying prospective partners, identifying key decision makers, and conducting daily outreach to those individuals. 
    • Stay apprised of market trends and news in the industries where you conduct regular outreach.
    • Coordinate the prioritization and scheduling of introductory calls with any prospective partner that reaches out to SentiLink.
    • Represent SentiLink in accordance with our corporate values at all times.

Requirements:

    • You have 1-2 years of professional experience.
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and entrepreneurial - you’ll do whatever it takes to meet your goals, even if it’s unglamorous and difficult, but you’re also clever enough to figure out ways to make your day-to-day work more efficient and effective.
    • Excellent written and spoken communication - you can write succinct, direct, and friendly emails without typos, and are comfortable picking up the phone and calling people. You’re energized by the thought of speaking to a CEO or other executive.
    • While remote-friendly, you’re willing to travel to the SentiLink office in SF on a regular basis as well as the occasional conference or in-person meetup.
    • Enthusiasm for the FinTech industry and the startup ecosystem.

Nice to Haves:

    • Prior work experience in sales, fundraising/development, recruiting, marketing, customer support, or in growing your own small venture or side hustle.
    • Experience with using sales software or other tools that help with prospecting, emailing, or researching potential decision-makers or companies.
    • Familiarity with FinTech, lending, banking, credit unions, or other consumer/SMB financial services.
