SEP is seeking a detail-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer with a few years of experience in data engineering, data visualization, and data analysis. The right person will be excited to work in a technology-driven company and always be curiously finding ways to make data valuable. We’d like your communication skills to be pithy and professional, have the ability to rip through tasks, operate without hand-holding, and be a great teammate and collaborator. You will guide the way we gather, store, and organize our business intelligence data. You will also analyze complex business problems and share insights with decision-makers across the entire business.

What you'll be doing
- Supporting our business intelligence and decision-making
- Creating new data visualizations and reports using existing data
- Providing input on process improvements for data capture
- Learning about SEP's business and how to present data to assist with knowledge transfer
- Making clean/organized data accessible to the appropriate audiences
- Creating and maintaining ETL processes
- Supporting existing data analysis on client engagements
Key attributes for applicants (Required Experience)
- Love for making data valuable and actionable
- Ability to communicate and work successfully with a range of audiences (ex. executive team, management, engineering, design, operations, clients, etc)
- Experience with data import/entry and data cleansing
- Experience visualizing data using Excel and more advanced tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc)
- Experience with SQL
- Understanding of ETL and Data Warehousing
- Ability to monitor data trends to identify outliers
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and/or SSIS
- Understanding of how to interact with API’s to get data out of new systems
- Advanced Power BI report and dashboard creation skills
- Ability to facilitate meetings with coworkers from different areas of the business
