The Director, HR Services primary responsibilities include strong leadership skills leveraged to lead the HR Business Partner team in client service experience and retention of clients; partnering with our internal teams in designing and adopting our new technology service offerings and managing our client lifecycle. The position requires strong people management skills, a passion for customer service, process orientation and innovation. The individual should embody and promote our culture in daily relationships with clients and our teams. 

A New Opportunity at Sequoia

    • The Director, HR Services will lead the HR Business Partner team in executing our world class level of customer service to our clients 
    • This team is collaborating closely with our technology team to seamlessly integrate our new technology products into our service offerings 
    • We pride ourselves on adding value to our clients’ HR programs through strategic analysis and consulting expertise. The HR Business Partner team collaborates with all our client service teams, including our Client Service Managers, Client Operations team and Employee Advocates to facilitate and educate our clients by providing HR best practice guidance on all HR related issues. 

What You'll Do

    • Manage and develop HR Business Partner team to strategically partner with client groups 
    • Manage client service experience and retention of clients 
    • Collaborate with internal teams on innovating our technology product offerings 
    • Act as a change agent as we scale with the goal of providing a world class client experience 
    • Proactively lead through a creative and integrated thinking lens 
    • Scale our team through operational efficiencies and analytics  
    • Problem solving complex client issues and escalations 
    • Some travel required 

What You'll Need

    • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources or People Management  
    • Bachelor’s degree 
    • Detail and process-oriented thinker  
    • Strong management skills with the ability to train and develop team 
    • Strong understanding of systems functionality across multiple platforms (HRIS, Benefit Administration and Payroll) (preferred) 

What Success Looks Like in the First 3 Months

    • Understanding the PEO model including Sequoia One operations 
    • Built strong relationship with the HR Business Partner team and Sequoia Management 
    • Establish a vision to enhance our HR Service offerings through technology
