The Client Service Manager guides our client relationships and is responsible for executing strategy and delivering service excellence for Sequoia’s largest clients.  

What You Get To Do

    • Build trusted relationships with our clients through understanding and delivering on client’s needs as well as executing service excellence
    • Advise on best practices for benefits consulting and administration to help our clients achieve their goals and objectives
    • Manage weekly client calls and interactive project plans
    • Facilitate and drive new client onboarding, implementations with vendors and carriers and compliance
    • Oversee open enrollment process for clients; create employee presentations and communication materials, conduct employee education meetings (webinars, in-person presentations, etc.)
    • Keep clients apprised of appropriate industry trends and events, including all state and federal regulatory issues (COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125 and Health Care Reform)
    • Be a proactive, empathetic partner to help resolve issues with our clients and their employees
    • Proficient in benefits, but also work closely with the Sequoia team on Global Benefits, 401k, Risk Management and HRIS/ Benefits administration
    • Work closely with Sequoia’s Client Service Consultants to develop strategy and client goals and objectives
    • Be an integral part of shaping, growing and scaling our Enterprise team
    • Provide training, support and guidance to Sequoia team members


    • 3-5+ years of employee benefits and client service experience
    • Working knowledge of Self-Insurance, COBRA, HIPAA and ERISA
    • Ability to build trust quickly and consistently with our clients and Sequoia team members
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask
    • Ability to comfortably provide and present recommendations to executives
    • Solutions-oriented team player who is accountable for results
    • Detail and process-oriented thinker
    • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to understand client needs and deliver results under tight deadlines
    • Bachelor’s degree required
