Senior Mobile QA Engineer

About the role: 

The Senior Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer creates robust and scalable test automation and test strategies, which assure that our solutions delight our customers. This team member validates software releases and ensures that end users have a bug free experience. This role works closely with Sequoia’s development teams to help discover and debug issues. 

What you get to do

    • Collaboratively identify product requirements and create test plans and test cases
    • Ensure execution of test plans and strategies through a combination of automation, external resources, and manual execution where applicable
    • Design and implement reusable automated test frameworks to drive test automation goals and to support continuous integration and regression testing
    • Utilize and extend existing test automation infrastructure
    • Conduct early project scoping and collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Work with an Agile team of software development engineers to improve quality throughout the software development lifecycle


    • Minimum 5 years professional QA experience, including 3 years on native mobile apps
    • Exceptional ability to troubleshoot technical problems on Linux, iOS, and Android platforms
    • Experience with Appium, Selenium Webdriver, and Java to develop automated iOS, Android, and web browser tests required
    • Experience with the command line (ADB) and Xcode
    • Experience in testing RESTful APIs
    • Deep experience writing test plans and test cases
    • Hands-on experience in Agile Methodologies
    • Proactive and driven working style with the ability to adapt to change
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and independently
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
    • BS/MS in computer science or a related field
