Sequoia is looking for a Resource Manager to oversee the assignment of internal resources to implementation delivery projects and client facing operational teams. This position requires you to work closely with the Professional Services, Sales and Client Services teams as it relates to forecasting demand for team members with particular skills and expertise.  You will also work in partnership with our HR team to identify and fulfill future staffing requirements based on capacity and business growth. 
The ideal candidate will be client-focused, data driven and highly organized as you work with our clients, our leadership team and internal resources. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of new Sequoia clients and efficiently managing the utilization of our professional services and client services staff. You will keep internal groups aware of resource allocation progress, risks and performance metrics.  Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional planning, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

    • Assign projects to Professional Services resources based on availability, skill-sets and experience
    • Assign new clients to delivery team resources that provide initial guidance, analysis and client support
    • Manage resource allocation to optimize utilization at an individual and team level
    • Provide capacity plans and staffing forecasts required to meeting ongoing client needs
    • Create and leverage reporting to assess project progress against timeline and deliverables
    • Facilitate resolution of project issues and roadblocks to project success
    • Run weekly resource planning meetings and resolve resource assignment conflicts with appropriate leaders
    • Contribute to continuous improvement through development of best practices and documentation
    • Help define strategy to improve resource staffing process as needs of the business grow and evolve
    • Use project management software to manage, track and report on project status and client assignments
    • Maintain and update team processes and resources to ensure consistency and scalability
    • Team effectively with other parts of the organization including HR and Sales
    • Manage project risk to ensure timely, on-budget project execution and closure
    • Work cross functionally to transition and hand off customers to other parts of the organization


    • 3-5 years resource management or project management experience in a fast-paced environment 
    • Experience using Project Management, Professional Services Automation and/or Salesforce software
    • Strong organizational and planning skill with meticulous attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize and balance workload across multiple business groups
    • Self-motivated, highly driven and self-assured
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease
    • Assertive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills including listening and presentation skills
    • Highly organized and results oriented with the ability to multi-task
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus
