Serán is searching for a QC Analyst with HPLC experience to join our Quality Control team! QC Analyst play a key role supporting manufacturing of novel pharmaceutical therapies within GMP environments. Within the responsibilities of QC Analyst, specific focus on in process control (IPC) laboratory support and routine stability testing and validation will be directed by the strength and interest of the chosen candidate. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise with specific laboratory equipment, techniques, and methods for technical review and data analytics. Those with at least two years of chromatography instrumentation experience within a GMP laboratory across a variety of industries are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conducts appearance testing, solution preparation, and pH measurements
    • Conducts raw material sampling, AQL, and Identification Testing (FT-IR)
    • Drafts stability tables and sets-up stability studies
    • May conduct technical data review on analytical results
    • Cleans lab and glassware
    • Logs-in samples and standards
    • Disposes of analytical waste appropriately
    • All other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

    • Hands-on lab experience in HPLC, Disso, cKF, XRPD, and/or mDSC
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in cross-functional teams
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to keep leadership apprised of performance to timelines
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education and Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on lab experience with at least two analytical technology platforms, one of which must be HPLC
    • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, engineering, or related scientific discipline, with documented hands on analytical experience in coursework
    • Requires 2 years GMP experience 

Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing in laboratory environment
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
    • Motor skills required for basic laboratory operations
