Our Operations Department seeks an Operations Lead to manage a group of technicians for our weekend shift. The Operations Lead plays an integral role in maintaining specialized equipment for the manufacturing of pharmaceutical tablets and capsules for FDA clinical trials.

Primary responsibilities are to oversee daily shift activities and perform manufacturing operations according to established procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring a high level of compliance with internal procedures and regulatory guidanceAdhering to strict standard operating procedures (SOP) and following good manufacturing practices (GMP) are required. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational and motivational skills, along with the ability to communicate proactively across departments to anticipate disruptions and meet production deadlines. Two years of industry experience is required for this level of supervisory responsibilities. Weekend schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday scheduled for 12-hour shift. This position is eligible for overtime and a shift differential.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervise small production team and daily shift activities       
    • Follow strict standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Write and review standard operating procedures
    • Weighs, measures, subdivides, and disposes of components
    • Safely handle hazardous materials
    • Participate in audits or inspections
    • Inspects and maintains equipment
    • Draft, review, and approve quality records as technical approver
    • Subject matter expert for operations
    • Conduct and attend training activities
    • Completes documentation, including logbooks and batch production and control records
    • Works closely and communicates effectively with operations team   
    • Other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

    • Intermediate math skills
    • Advanced laboratory skills
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Demonstrates history of leadership abilities
    • Proficiencies in GMP processing and equipment
    • Requires 2 year of GMP experience

Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds regularly, and 50 pounds occasionally
    • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing while monitoring equipment
    • 12-hour shifts, Friday - Sunday
