Directly accountable to the Lodge Events & Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Team Lead performs a variety of duties to maintain the cleanliness of the facility to meet the guidelines for the safety of our guests, staff, and visitors. Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies, and procedures (e.g., utilizing personal protective equipment as per safe work procedures). 

Duties

    • Keeps track of the cleaning supplies and stock room sheets and collects all task-related sheets to hand and hand it to the Manager at the end of every month.
    • Cleaning of assigned areas, training and monitoring housekeepers’ tasks throughout the facility daily.
    • Maintain the cleanliness of storage areas and notify the Housekeeping Manager if you notice a low on supplies.
    • Operate laundry equipment (Evaluate facility’s linens, bedding/towels/ for damage) and organize clean laundry items on laundry carts for distribution on the zones.
    • Check rooms, common areas, and washrooms, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness.
    • Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment
    • Ensure assigned cleaning duties are completed.
    • Able to safely operate relevant housekeeping equipment.
    • Reports equipment requiring repair or safety hazards to the supervisor/maintenance department.
    • Contributes to improving housekeeping operations services for clients and staff by bringing concerns forward, sharing information and making suggestions for improvement.
    • All other related duties assigned by your supervisor and the leadership of SERDC

Requirements

    • Minimum Grade 12, Manitoba standards, required or required or equivalent experience.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Advanced MS Office experience, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
    • Must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid Manitoba Driver’s License.
