The Brokenhead Ojibway Nation LANDS Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position for Lands Steward Coordinator to lead the stewardship team on different land and resource projects within BON Lands and traditional territory. 

Requirements

    • Valid Class 5F Driver’s License
    • Must have the ability to coordinate, organize, and work under minimum supervision.
    • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks when required.
    • Valid Chainsaw/Brush saw Safety Certification.
    • Ability to keep track of work hours and write reports/invoices.
    • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot equipment to keep it in working order.
    • Valid first aid certification is an asset.
    • Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
    • Willingness to build capacity and professional development.
    • Ability to communicate/relay information to Lands Department & community members.
    • Knowledge of mechanics and building is considered an asset.
    • Must be able to work in a team environment.
    • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug testing and future random drug testing.
