The Brokenhead Ojibway Nation LANDS Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position for Lands Steward Coordinator to lead the stewardship team on different land and resource projects within BON Lands and traditional territory.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5F Driver’s License
- Must have the ability to coordinate, organize, and work under minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks when required.
- Valid Chainsaw/Brush saw Safety Certification.
- Ability to keep track of work hours and write reports/invoices.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot equipment to keep it in working order.
- Valid first aid certification is an asset.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Willingness to build capacity and professional development.
- Ability to communicate/relay information to Lands Department & community members.
- Knowledge of mechanics and building is considered an asset.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug testing and future random drug testing.
