Serigraph is hiring a Print Support Technician to help deliver high-quality print production through expert ink formulation, press support, and inventory management. In this hands-on role, you'll be a key player in minimizing press downtime, maintaining color and quality standards, and keeping our production running efficiently. Responsibilities of the Print Support Technician -

    • Mix and match ink to meet color, function, and appearance specifications per standard criteria.
    • Develop, adjust, and document ink formulas; communicate updates to support services.
    • Conduct viscosity adjustments and provide press-ready ink batches to screening.
    • Perform first piece approvals and in-process color checks; notify screening of necessary corrections.
    • Minimize press downtime by quickly addressing ink-related issues and troubleshooting on-press challenges.
    • Perform screen maintenance.
    • Operate multi-color presses, complete first piece approval, and ensure quality production throughout runs.
    • Inspect and approve incoming ink supplies before inventory entry.
    • Execute press setup, monitor production quality, and perform minor press repairs and preventive maintenance.
    • Participate in screen cleaning, press tear-down, and printed material handling post-production.
    • Use computer systems for labor reporting, material requests, and production documentation.
    • Accurately complete all job paperwork and records, including ink and solvent usage logs.
    • Handle raw material verification, tagging, and proper storage in FIFO order.
    • Load/unload materials and verify incoming shipments; reject and report damaged or incorrect items.
    • Maintain factory supply inventory and initiate orders as needed.
    • Prepare shipments and manage inventory with commercial warehouses.
    • Maintain safe and clean environments in ink mixing, storage, and solvent dispensing areas.
    • Adhere to environmental, safety, and quality standards including spill response and forklift safety.
    • Attend relevant production and quality meetings and communicate job status across shifts.
    • Apply SPC techniques and understand use of Serigraph’s quality system (SPECS).
    • Promote sustainability by minimizing waste, recycling, and supporting energy-saving initiatives.
    • Perform duties requiring color differentiation, use of measuring tools, and occasional respirator use.
    • Ensure quality and stop production to correct quality concerns. Inform management of products and/or processes that do not conform to requirements.
    • Ensure all environmental practices and materials are handled and disposed of per appropriate procedures in your area.
    • Support Serigraph’s current quality business system and understand use of SPECS, the Serigraph quality manual.

What we are looking for in a Print Support Technician -

    • Ability to detect color differences and meet physical requirements including lifting and operating forklifts (certification required).
    • Basic computer and math skills for job documentation and process controls.
    • Knowledge of good departmental and company safety/housekeeping/PPE practices.
    • Understand departmental procedures and policies.

Preferred Qualifications and Education of a Print Support Technician -

    • Experience with ink formulation, printing press operation, or materials management.
    • Forklift experience and certification.
    • Understanding of environmental and quality systems like SPECS.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
